    October 2020 - December 2021

    Overseeing the strategy, vision, and product experience for Nike.com, the Nike App, Nike Training Club, Nike Running Club, SNKRS, and a large suite of in-house operational tools. Managing the team through a full digital transformation, bringing operational and strategic thought leadership that will guide Nike to become a fully digitally enabled company.

    Part of Lyft Leadership as "Head of Consumer'. Overseeing all consumer experiences and products including ridesharing, bikes, scooters, transit, and autonomous vehicles.

  • Director of Design, Airbnb

    Aug 2015 - August 2019

    Part of design leadership at Airbnb. In my first role I was responsible for all supply side efforts including education, conversion, retention, and over all user experience for our host community. Vocal advocate for product excellence, ensuring that our host community has the best tools possible so they can focus on providing meaningful guest experiences. Recently I've been leading a new business unit at Airbnb - Transportation. This role reaches beyond design and focuses on buiding a full business from the ground up. This includes strategy, market research, financial modeling, positioning, and product vision.

  • User Experience Design Lead, Google

    Aug 2011 - Aug 2015

    Led user experience design for Google[x] on the Self Driving Car Project (now called Waymo). During my time at Google I was also UX Lead for YouTube TV where my team created custom apps for XBOX, PS3, Wii, WiiU, and smart TVs. I was also the Lead Designer for Mobile Search designing interactive app-like experiences for smart phone and tablet web queries.   • Interaction Designer and Project Lead, IDEO

    Sep 2010 - Aug 2011

    Led a multidisciplinary team focused on large systemic projects that required Director level strategy and design thinking. Key focus was defining the Consumer Finance Protection Bureau under Obama Administration with Elizabeth Warren. This including numerous in home visits with Americans across the country to understand the impact of the financial crisis and creating digital tools to help eduction, protect, and support consumers. Other clients included Steelcase, TED Talks, and Ford Motors.

    Worked with Razorfish to support an array of projects, bringing an expertise in financial services and data visualization. Largest project was with the United Nation where I led a team focused on business development in African countries. Other clients included Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Citibank, Ford Motors, and DELL.

    Founder of a boutique firm that provided beautiful and insightful user experiences for a vast range of clients including start-ups and Fortune 500 companies. A true champion of latest technologies in social networking, mobile interfaces, and cutting edge interactive design. Clients included Bloomberg LLP, AFS Intercultural Programs, and Amnesty International.

  • VP of Design, Goldman Sachs

    Aug 2006 - May 2007

    Led redesign efforts for entire business trading systems like Foreign Currencies, Commodities, and Equities. The software set the bar for in-house trading platforms and was adopted by several other firms in the industry.

  • VP of User Experience Design, JPMorgan

    Oct 2005 - Aug 2006

    Worked with business units across the firm to create a unified brand for JP Morgan and Chase post merger. Led design for Treasury Services banking tools and created a standardized design language for banking tools company wide.

  • Design Director, Intralinks

    Oct 2005 - Aug 2006

    Led a large scale rebranding effort in preparation of company IPO. This included full brand identity, messaging/voice, product design language, and marketing. Worked directly with c-suite on targeted marketing campaigns and developing pre-IPO roadshow materials.

  • Systems Software Usability and Graphics Designer, Dell EMC

    Jun 2001 - Oct 2005

    Designed the software used by Network Administrators to manage large networks and data storage arrays. Invented several user interfaces including icon topology maps and network connectivity maps (see list of patents) to help Network Admins quickly visualize and identify source of problem with their system.
